Fenia Lab

Our lab is situated at 976 in the Makarpura GIDC Estate. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by all sorts of factories and workshops, which suits us just fine. We aren't a high-end research facility with white carpets. We are a working lab where things actually get tested and measured. The air around here usually smells like industry, and there is always the sound of machinery in the distance. Inside our space, we keep things as clean as possible for the work we do, but it’s still a functional environment. We spend our days looking at samples and running various tests. It’s a small team, so everyone knows how to do a bit of everything. We don't have a marketing department or a PR person. If someone needs something tested, they usually just show up or send a courier. We like the grit of the Makarpura area; it feels like real work is happening here. Sometimes the power goes out or the road outside gets flooded, but we just work around it. We are just folks who enjoy the science side of things and like being in the middle of the industrial action. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s ours. We just keep our heads down and focus on the data in front of us.
