District Rural Development Agency

We are located at 10 Krushnashraya Tenament, which is right opposite Uma Park near the Bh Mahesh Complex. We’re on the Waghodia Dabhoi Ring Road here in Baroda. It’s the office for the District Rural Development Agency. Working out of a tenement gives the place a different feel than a standard office block. It’s a bit more like being in a home. We have different rooms for different tasks. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when everyone is in at the same time. We focus on rural development stuff, which means a lot of records and coordination with people outside the city. The Ring Road is always busy, so there’s a constant sound of traffic in the background. We have a small area for visitors, but it’s mostly just desks and filing cabinets. Our staff is local and we’ve been together for a long time. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything. You just walk in and someone will likely be there at their desk. We try to keep things moving even when the internet is slow or things get a bit disorganized. It’s a practical way to work and it fits the neighborhood. We aren't doing anything flashy, just the daily grind of agency work. It's a bit cramped but we make it work. Most of the people around here know us as the DRDA office.
