My son Nirav and I have this place on the main road in Mandvi. It's been in the family for a bit, and we just keep it running day to day. We are located at Ns Pala 312, which is right in the thick of things. The street is always busy with people moving around and carts going past the window. Nirav handles the computer stuff mostly because I never really got the hang of the newer systems. I prefer talking to the people who come in and keeping the ledger. It’s a small space, so we have to keep everything organized or we would never find anything. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to actually do it. We mostly deal with local folks from Mandvi who have been coming to us for years. It’s not the kind of place where you see people in suits. We usually just wear simple shirts and get on with the day. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall across the street when it gets quiet in the afternoon. We don't have any big goals of expanding or anything like that. We just want to do our work and go home to our families in the evening. It’s a simple partnership between a father and a son, and we make it work even when we disagree on things.
