Dev Aluminium & Fibre Door is tucked away in the Mahalaxmi Market area on Ajwa Road, specifically at number 27. The market is always crowded, and getting things in and out of the shop can be a bit of a hassle with all the traffic on Udhna Main Road. Inside the shop, there are stacks of aluminium sections and various fibre doors leaning against each other. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we are looking for a specific size. The floor is usually covered in small silvery shavings from the saw. We spend most of our time measuring out pieces and fitting them together. It’s not a quiet place because of the constant cutting and the noise from the street outside. Our hands stay pretty busy with the drills and the screwdrivers. We don’t have a big showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a working space where the actual labor happens. People come in from the market to check out the different door patterns we have in stock. We show them what’s available on the rack and tell them how long it might take to get things ready. It’s just a regular day-to-day business where we try to get the work done without making things complicated. The humidity in Udhna can get high, so the fans are always running while we work on the door frames and the panels.
