Dance Nation

Down on Vadsar India Colony Road, you’ll find us at Sb/14. We call ourselves Dance Nation. It’s a straightforward name for a straightforward place. The road gets dusty, and there’s always something being built nearby. Our studio is just a part of the local scenery now. We don’t have a fancy entrance with a glass door. It’s just a regular door that we leave open for air when it isn’t too hot. Inside, the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’ve got character. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk past every day. It’s not a high-end gym. We don't have air conditioning that works perfectly all the time. We have big fans that move the air around. People come here to work hard and learn some steps. It’s a noisy place, filled with the sound of feet hitting the floor and instructions being shouted over the music. We don’t have a lot of rules, just respect the space and each other. That’s how it works at Sb/14. Vadsar is a busy spot, and we fit right in with the grit and the hustle of the colony. We aren't polished, and we aren't trying to be. We’re just a dance spot for the local crowd who needs a place to go.
