We are located at A 17 on Ajwa Road in Vadodara. Ajwa Road is one of those places that is always under some kind of construction, it feels like. There is always something going on with the pipes or the pavement, but we have gotten used to the mess. Our spot at A 17 is part of a larger complex of units. It is not very big, but it is enough for what we need to do every day. We usually get in early before the traffic on Ajwa Road gets too heavy because it can be a real nightmare later in the day. The office is pretty simple, with just some old furniture and a few fans to keep the air moving. We don't have air conditioning, so the summers can be a bit of a struggle, but we just drink a lot of water and keep at it. Most of our work involves a lot of paperwork and talking to people who come by. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years and know most of the people who work in the nearby units. We often share news about what’s happening on the street or if there is a new place to eat nearby. It’s a very casual environment. We don't wear suits or anything like that; usually, it’s just comfortable clothes that can handle a bit of dust. It is just a normal, everyday business where we do our best to stay busy and get things done for everyone.
