Bk Agro Foods Export Private Limited is based out of Vuda Corner in Padra. We are up on the upper level, right at TC No 23. Padra is a bit away from the main Vadodara city, which is actually nice because it’s closer to where a lot of the food comes from. We spend a lot of time looking at bags of grain and pulses. The office is usually dusty because of the samples we keep around. We started this because we knew the local market well and figured we could help get things moved abroad. It’s not a glamorous job. There is a lot of checking labels and making sure weights are exactly right. Sometimes the labels peel off in the heat, and we have to redo them all. Our team is small, mostly locals from the Vadodara district. We know each other's families and often share tiffin during lunch. The stairs up to our level are steep, so we get our exercise every day. We don't use much technology beyond the basics needed to track orders. It’s more about the relationships we have with the suppliers nearby. We’ve had some long nights here when a big order needs to go out. The fans in the office hum all day long. It's just a regular workplace where people work hard and try to do things right.
