Basant Electro-Medical

Basant Electro-Medical has been operating out of Baroda for quite some time now. We aren't a typical drugstore where you go for a headache pill. We deal more with the technical side of medical equipment. Our space is usually filled with boxes of devices and different parts that hospitals or clinics might need. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy showroom. It’s more of a working office and storage area where we keep track of what’s going out to different parts of the city. Being in Baroda, we have a lot of local connections. Sometimes people come in looking for a specific machine or a replacement part, and we have to dig through our records to find it. It can be quiet some days, then very busy the next if a lot of orders come in at once. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking emails. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the equipment gets to where it’s supposed to go. The walls are lined with manuals and technical sheets. It’s a practical business, focused on the stuff that keeps clinics running. We just focus on our work and try to stay organized in the middle of all the gear. We don't do much else besides this, but it keeps us on our toes.
