Bansi Medical And General Store sits over at number 3 in the Dreamland Complex. We are right near Pramukh Prasad here in Manjalpur, Vadodara. It’s a pretty decent spot in Gujarat, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this neighborhood over the years. The shop isn't massive, but we make use of every inch of shelf space we have. Most days start with checking the stock and seeing what we ran out of the night before. You’ll see us behind the counter mostly, dealing with folks who need their regular heart meds or maybe just a packet of biscuits. We carry a mix of things because people expect a general store to have a bit of everything. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, though dust always finds its way in from the street. Our location in the complex makes it easy for locals to just pull up their scooters and hop inside for a minute. We don't have any fancy displays or bright flashing lights. It’s just the usual glass cases and wooden racks filled with boxes and bottles. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep going with the backup or wait it out. It's a simple life running a chemist shop in Vadodara. We see the same faces every week and that feels pretty good. Just a normal shop doing normal business for the people living around here.
