Baba Ramdev Provision Stores

Baba Ramdev Provision Stores is located right on the Main Highway in Amrut Nagar, Vadodara. Being on the highway means we get a lot of people passing through in cars and trucks, along with the local families. The noise from the traffic is constant, but you stop noticing it after a few weeks. We keep the store stocked with plenty of snacks, cold sodas, and dry goods like rice and pulses. It’s a long way to the bigger markets from here, so people find it easier to just stop by our place. The shop has high ceilings which helps a bit with the Gujarat heat, though it still gets very warm in the afternoons. I have shelves that go all the way up to the top. I have to use a wooden ladder to get the big tins of oil or the large detergent packs down for people. It isn't a polished shop with air conditioning, but we have a couple of noisy fans that do the job. I spend most of my time either stocking the shelves or talking to the truck drivers who need a quick break. Handling the highway crowd is different every day. We aren't doing anything special here, just selling groceries and household supplies. It’s a simple business for a simple need. I like the routine of opening up every morning and seeing who comes in through the door.
