As A Receptionist

I’m based over at 61 B Uddhyoghnagar Society. It’s right near the Ayurvedic College in the Panigate area of Baroda. Most people know the college so they find us pretty easily without needing a map. My job as a receptionist is pretty straightforward and honest. I sit at the front, greet whoever comes through the door, and try to help them find what they are looking for. It’s a busy little spot in Baroda. There’s always people coming and going because of the college being right nearby. I handle the mail and take down numbers for people who call in throughout the day. The office is small but it gets the job done for us. I’ve been here for a while and I know most of the people who work in the surrounding buildings. Sometimes it’s just very quiet and I can get all the filing and paperwork done without any interruptions at all. Other days I don't even have time to finish a single cup of tea before the next person walks in. It’s just how it is. I don't need a lot of fancy technology to do my work. Just a good pen, a working phone, and a big calendar. People really appreciate someone who actually listens to them and tells them exactly where to go. It’s a good place to work and Panigate is a lively neighborhood to spend my time in.
