The address is 403 Deshakti Apartment, and Jaydipsinh Padhiyar is the one who keeps things running here. Raopura is one of those old-school parts of Vadodara with narrow lanes and a lot of history. The "pol" system means we are tucked away in a place that has a very traditional feel. It is a bit crowded, and parking can be a real nightmare if you are not careful, but it is where we have set up shop. The apartment building itself, Deshakti Apartment, is where we do all our daily work. It is not a huge commercial complex, just a regular building where we have our space on the fourth floor. We spend our days dealing with the usual flow of business, nothing too glamorous. The noise from the street filters up, and you can hear the bells from the nearby temples sometimes. Being in Gujarat, the summers are incredibly hot, so we mostly stay indoors and focus on the tasks at hand. It is a very local way of working, and we are quite comfortable with the rhythm of Raopura.
