Our small office is tucked away in the Jay Ajay Shg Society at D 3510. It’s way back behind Khadkikothari Watika 5. It can be a bit tricky for people to find if they aren't from this part of town. We started this agro venture because we saw how much waste was happening in the local supply chain and thought we could help. It’s just a few of us working here in the society. The main room is usually filled with samples of different seeds and crops we are looking into. We spend most of our mornings on the phone with growers out in the rural areas. Sometimes we go out to the sites ourselves to see how things are growing. It's not a glamorous job at all. You get mud on your boots and the sun is usually beating down on you all day. But we like the work. The society is quiet enough most days, which really helps when we need to focus on the boring numbers. We aren't some massive firm with hundreds of employees and a fancy lobby. We are just a local group trying to make the farming business work a bit better for the people around here. My neighbor actually helped us find this specific space. It’s practical and it works for what we need to get done. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or big signs. Most of our focus goes into the actual crops and making sure they get to the right buyers on time.
