Amit K Shah

My name is Amit K Shah and you can find me over in Dandia Bazar, right near where the Standard Chartered is. It’s a busy part of the city, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. I’ve been in this spot for a few years now. The office is tucked away, so it stays a little cooler than the street outside, which is a blessing during the summer months. I have a lot of books and ledgers stacked up because I still prefer paper over everything being on a screen. The furniture is a mix of things I bought at different times, so nothing really matches, but it’s comfortable enough for a full day's work. My neighbor runs a small stall selling snacks, so the smell of frying food usually drifts in around four o'clock. It makes me hungry every single day. I usually have my tea there while watching the crowds go by. The floor is that old-fashioned stone that stays cold, which I like. We don't have any flashy decorations or mission statements on the walls. It’s just a place where work happens. Sometimes the internet is slow, and I have to step outside to get a good signal on my mobile, but we manage. It’s a good location for meeting people because everyone knows the landmark nearby. It’s just a normal, everyday business in a very busy bazaar.
