Amar Medicals

Our shop, Amar Medicals, is located at number 13 in the Amar Complex. We are in the New Sama area of Vadodara, right near the ICICI Bank ATM. It’s a handy spot because people often stop for cash and then realize they need something from the chemist. The complex stays pretty busy throughout the day. We have a glass front that lets in some light, but it’s mostly the fluorescent bulbs overhead that keep the place bright. I usually start the day by wiping down the glass counters and checking the fridge where we keep the cold medicines. Vadodara is a growing city, and New Sama has seen a lot of new people moving in lately. We see a lot of young families and elderly folks who live in the nearby apartments. The shelves are packed with everything from baby powder to blood pressure pills. It can get a bit hectic around 6 PM when everyone is heading home from work and they all seem to come in at the same time. I try to get through the queue as fast as I can without making any mistakes. We have a small radio playing in the background most of the time to keep things from being too quiet. It’s a steady job and we like being part of the neighborhood here. We just focus on getting the right items to the people who walk through our door. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay.
