Alstom Power India Limited

We are located at Ali Chamber II on Ajwa Road here in Vadodara. If you know the area, it is right near Rampark. Flat No 2 is where we set things up. It isn't a huge place, just a few rooms where we handle our daily work for Alstom Power India Limited. The building is older and the elevator is a bit slow sometimes, so most of us just take the stairs. Ajwa Road gets really busy during the mornings, making it a bit of a trek to get in. Inside, there are desks piled with papers and some old computers that still do the job. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or a lobby with coffee. Usually, one of the guys will just point you to a chair if you drop by. It is mostly just quiet work going on. We deal with power projects and all the technical details that come with that. Sometimes the tea lady comes by in the afternoon which is the highlight of the day. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We just focus on getting through the tasks we have for the week. It is a local operation and we know the neighborhood pretty well by now. Anyway, that is where we are and what it’s like around here on a normal Tuesday.
