Nishi Exports is based out of No. 18 Sangeeta Apartments. We’re really close to Akota Stadium, so it’s easy to find if you’re in that part of town. Working out of an apartment building is a bit different than a warehouse, but it suits us just fine for the administrative side of things. We handle the export side of the business from here, mostly focusing on the coordination and making sure everything is lined up. It gets pretty busy when there’s a big event at the stadium because the streets get blocked off, but we’ve learned to plan around that. The neighbors in Sangeeta Apartments are used to us by now. We try to keep the noise down, though the phone rings quite a bit. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure everything goes smoothly. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a regular room with some computers, a printer that jams occasionally, and plenty of coffee. We’ve been in this spot for several years and it feels right. People often drop by and we have to tell them to look for the apartment number specifically. It’s a quiet way to run a business, and we prefer it over being in a loud industrial zone. We just keep doing our thing, one shipment at a time, and hope for clear traffic near the stadium. There is always a lot to do.
