Academy For Conservation Of Energy

Based out of Baroda, we focus our attention on the conservation of energy. It is a big, complicated topic, but we try to keep our daily work pretty grounded. We are located in the 390001 area code, which puts us right in the middle of the city's busy streets. Most of what we do involves visiting different buildings or factories to see how they are using power and where they are wasting it. We spend a lot of our time out in the field, crawling around looking at meters or checking out old machinery that isn't running right. The office itself is mostly a place for us to sit down, drink some tea, and write up reports based on what we saw during the day. It is a bit of a messy space with diagrams and old utility bills stacked up on every available surface. We are not some huge government organization. We are just a small group of people who think it is important to not waste resources. Gujarat is a place with a lot of industry, so there is always a new project to look at. Sometimes the fixes are very simple, like switching some lights, but other times it is a real headache that takes weeks to figure out. We try to talk to people in plain English rather than using a lot of technical jargon. It has been a few years now that we've been operating in this spot.
