It gets hot here in Unhel, and people always need ice. We've been at the Sabji Market for a while now, right near the Nag Mandir. It’s a busy spot. We mostly handle the blocks and crushed ice for the vendors and people coming through the market. The machines run pretty much all day. It’s noisy and wet, but that’s how it is. Sometimes the power goes out, which makes things tricky, but we manage. My family helps out too. We don’t have fancy stuff here. Just the cooling tanks and the delivery bikes. You’ll see the carts parked out front in the morning. People know where we are because of the temple. It’s a straightforward job. You lift the heavy blocks, you load them, and you make sure they don’t melt before they get to the shops. The market gets crowded on weekends. We try to keep up with the demand during wedding seasons when everyone needs cold water and sodas. It’s mostly routine stuff. We start early, usually before the sun is really up. The floor is always slippery, so you have to watch your step. We’ve known the neighbors for years. There isn't much to say other than we keep the ice moving. If you walk past the vegetable stalls, you can hear the saws cutting the blocks. It’s just us doing our thing in our corner of the market. We don't use any fancy packaging. It's just ice.
