Panama Import & Exports

Panama Import & Exports operates out of No. 92 Bengolee Colony. It’s a quiet enough street, which is nice when we have to concentrate on shipping manifests. Our office is tucked away, so people sometimes miss the sign on the first try. We deal with stuff coming in and going out, which involves a lot of phone time with customs and transport companies. The desks are usually covered in sticky notes and pens that don't always work. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. There’s just a handful of us who show up every day and keep the wheels turning. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have a lunchroom, so we usually just eat at our desks or go to the small shop around the corner. Sometimes the shipments are late, and the atmosphere gets a bit tense, but we figure it out. We’ve learned that in the import-export business, you just have to take things one day at a time. Bengolee Colony is a good spot for us. It feels like home after all these years. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth has mostly been how people find out about us. We just try to stay on top of the paperwork and ensure everything is legal and on time. It’s a steady life, and we like the routine of it.
