Gyan Sagar Academy

Gyan Sagar Academy is located out in Gram Hamukhedi, right on the Dewas Road near Ujjain. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city center, which means we have a little more space than the schools squeezed into the middle of town. The air is a bit clearer out here, though the road gets plenty of trucks passing by. The campus is pretty spread out. We have several buildings and a big open area where the students spend their breaks. It’s not always perfectly manicured; the grass grows where it wants, and the hallways can get a bit cluttered with bags and sports gear. We’ve been here for some time now, and the routine is well-worn. Teachers arrive early, the office staff starts sorting through the mail, and the kitchen gets started on whatever is being served. It’s a practical place. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. Most people find out about us just by talking to neighbors in Ujjain. Inside, you’ll find students sitting in rows, some paying attention and some looking out the window at the birds. We have our share of broken desks and squeaky doors, but we fix them when we can get around to it. It’s a hardworking school. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a place on Dewas Road where kids come to get through their lessons and hopefully learn something useful before they head back home to the village or the city.
