Our business, Mohammadiya Cashew Private Limited, is out in Kumbhashi Village. The specific address is No. 1-618 on Vakwady Road. This is near Kundapura in the Udupi district, 576257. It’s a very rural area, which is perfect for cashews. You can see the trees all around the village. Our building is a simple one, right there on Vakwady Road. It’s where we do all the processing and packing. The smell of roasting cashews is something you get used to pretty quickly. It’s a lot of manual work, sitting and sorting through the nuts. We have people from the village coming in to help. It’s not a polished factory with robots. It’s just folks working with their hands. The road outside can be quiet, but during harvest time, it gets busy with carts and small trucks. We don't have a website or a big marketing team. We just have our building at 1-618. Kundapura is a nice town, but we are a bit outside in the village part. It is peaceful here, though the work is hard on the back. We sit on low stools and talk while we work. The rain in the monsoon season is really something else, it just pours down on the roof. We just stay inside and keep the cashews dry. It is a simple, honest way of living and working in Kumbhashi.
