Our restaurant is based in Uppunda, inside the Kasandi House. We are quite close to the Janatha Colony and the Anganavadi, which makes us a bit of a local landmark in this part of town. It is a fine dining setup, but we keep things very relaxed and down to earth. The building feels more like a home than a stiff restaurant. We have some tables set up and we spend a lot of time in the kitchen preparing the meals. Most of our staff live nearby, so it feels like a big family working together. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or a big advertising budget. We just rely on the food and the fact that people know where to find us. The kitchen can get pretty loud during the dinner rush with the sound of pans clanking and the chefs talking to each other. We try to keep things simple and honest. Sometimes the power flickers, but we have candles ready. It is a quiet life here in Uppunda, and we like being the place where people come to eat and talk for a while. We don't use any complicated recipes or strange ingredients. It is just real food made by people who live right here in the colony. We spend our mornings getting the tables ready and the evenings cleaning up after the last guest leaves.
