Our office is located at No 1-114, in a building called Laxmidevi Krupa. We are out in Gundami, which is part of Sasthan in the Udupi district. It’s a bit away from the main city rush, which we actually prefer. The air is a bit clearer and it’s quieter, which helps when you are trying to concentrate on complicated accounting work. The building itself has a local feel to it, not like those glass towers you see in big cities. We handle a lot of work for the local community here in Sasthan and the surrounding Udupi area. Usually, our days are filled with people dropping by to leave their documents or to ask a quick question about their taxes. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; you usually just walk in and find one of us at a desk. We talk in plain English or the local language, whichever is easier for everyone. There’s no need to make things sound more complicated than they are. We just take the receipts, the bank statements, and the forms and get to work. Sometimes we have tea while we go over the books with a client. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we take the work seriously because we know how much it matters to the people living here. We’ve been here for a while and plan to keep doing things this way, focus on the records and the local community.
