Mahavir Rice General Mills

Mahavir Rice General Mills is located on Kashipur Road in Rudrapur, specifically in the Dibdiba area. We are right across from National Prep Public School. You can also find us by looking for Gaba Dharam Kanta, which is right nearby. Having the school across the street means we have to be extra careful with the trucks when the kids are coming or going. The mill is a busy place with a lot of heavy lifting. We have been working out of this Kashipur Road location for a long time. The building is a bit old and the metal roof pings whenever the wind blows hard. We have a large scale for weighing the loads, and there is always a bit of a line during the busy season. Inside the mill, it is all about the smell of grain and the sound of the husking machines. We do not have a fancy setup, just some basic desks and a lot of storage space for the rice. Our hands are usually calloused from handling the rough bags all day long. We take turns watching the machines to make sure nothing gets stuck. When we have a quiet moment, we sit on the steps and watch the traffic go by on the way to Kashipur. It is a practical business and we do the work ourselves. We just try to keep things moving along smoothly every day.
