Amit Rice Mills (P) Ltd.

We have been here on Kashipur Road for quite a while now. Amit Rice Mills (P) Ltd. is basically just us doing the daily work of handling rice. It gets real busy during the season when the trucks start coming in one after another. The road is usually dusty and there is always some kind of noise coming from the machinery. We spend most of our time making sure the grains are sorted and packed right into the bags. It is a lot of heavy lifting and sweating. Some days are much longer than others, especially when the weather starts to change and we have to move everything fast so it stays dry. People around this part of town know where we are located. We don't really do much else besides the mill work. The building itself isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical place where the work happens. We have a few guys who have been with us since the very beginning. They know exactly how the old machines sound when something is even a little bit off. We try to keep things moving along so the rice doesn't sit around in the warehouse for too long. It is just a regular local business. We deal with the farmers and the transport people every single day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait it out. That's just how things go here on Kashipur Road. We don't have a big office. It is just the mill and storage.
