Laxmi Foods

Laxmi Foods is right along N.H.- 94 on Beria Road in the Bazpur area. Being so close to the highway means we hear the trucks passing by at all hours. Our place is near the post office, so people usually don't have a hard time finding us. We handle different kinds of food processing and packing here. The machines make a constant humming sound all day, and we try to keep the warehouse cool, even when the sun is beating down on the roof. We have a small team that keeps an eye on the packing lines. We want to make sure the bags are sealed up tight so nothing gets wasted or spoiled. We don't spend much time sitting in an office; most of the real work happens on the floor. You can hear the traffic from the highway while we work, which is just something you get used to after a few days. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in when the wind is high, so we have to keep cleaning things. We work through the seasons, depending on what the local farmers are harvesting at the time. It is practical work, and we don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We just want to get the food packed up and sent out to the shops where people need it. It is a steady pace of work, and that suits us just fine. We just take it one day at a time here.
