Kansal Rice Mills

We are located in Sittarganj right near the Khatima Bypass Road. Being so close to the bypass means we see a lot of trucks and big vehicles moving grain around. The mill is a busy place especially during the harvest months. There is always the sound of machines humming and the smell of rice in the air. It’s a big space but it’s mostly filled with sacks and processing equipment. We don’t have a fancy lobby for visitors. If you come to see us you’ll probably find me in the middle of the mill floor or checking the weighing scale. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. We take the paddy and we turn it into rice. The dust gets on everything but we are used to it by now. The road outside is usually busy so it makes getting the transport in and out a bit of a challenge sometimes. We don't spend our time on the internet or worrying about what other mills are doing. We just focus on our own machines and our own grain. It's a long day starting early in the morning and sometimes going late into the night when we have a lot to process. We've been in this spot for years and it suits what we do perfectly. It’s not glamorous work but it’s what we know how to do.
