This place is a bit of an odd one because while the name says Caparo Engineering India Pvt Ltd Pune, we are actually operating out of Lalkuan in Nainital. Specifically, we are situated at Century Pulp and Paper Ltd, in the A4-197 section. It is a long way from the hills people usually think of when they hear Nainital. Down here in Lalkuan, it is much more industrial and gray. The air smells like the paper mill most days, which you get used to after a week or so. Our day starts early because the factory shifts around here don't wait for anyone. We spend a lot of time on the shop floor or in the small office area tucked away in the complex. It is loud, and there is always some kind of machinery humming in the background. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website because most of our work is just raw engineering and parts. It is about keeping things moving and making sure the metal is right. The office itself is pretty basic, just some metal cupboards, old wooden desks, and a lot of technical drawings pinned to the walls. We drink our tea out of those small glass cups and talk about the production numbers or why the delivery truck is late again. It is honest work, even if it is a bit greasy sometimes. We have been in this spot for a while now, and everyone knows everyone else in this part of the industrial estate.
