Anghadhiraj Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small group we put together over in Udgir. We don’t have a regular office building, so we just use Manohar Ugile’s place for our meetings and keeping our documents. It is located right in Udgir Tq. Most of us have known each other for a long time since we all farm the same kind of land. The weather in this part of the region can be tricky, so we thought it made sense to work as a team. Instead of every person trying to find their own truck or buyer, we try to do it together. It’s a lot of work and sometimes we disagree on things, but that’s just how it goes with neighbors. Manohar is kind enough to handle the visitors who come by asking about our produce. We are mostly busy with the actual farming, so the company side of things is something we handle when the sun goes down or during the off-season. You won’t find any shiny brochures here. We just deal with grains and whatever else is growing in our fields this year. It’s a practical way to survive as farmers in a place like Udgir. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local group trying to make the math work at the end of the harvest. If you come by, you’ll likely find us talking about the rain or the latest market prices.
