Yugal General Store

Yugal General Store is found in the Dhanmandi area near Delhi Gate. This part of the city is always moving, with trucks coming in and people carrying heavy bags on their shoulders. Our store is right in the middle of all that chaos. We sell a lot of different things in bulk and also in smaller quantities for people who just want something for their kitchen at home. The floors are often a bit dusty from all the sacks of grain and flour we move around. We don't have a fancy display window or anything like that. Instead, you'll see stacks of goods right up to the ceiling. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to the market atmosphere. We spend our days weighing out items and tying up bags with string. My hands are usually a bit rough from handling all the packaging. We don't spend money on advertising because the noise of the market and the location near Delhi Gate brings enough people to our door. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other traders and the tea sellers by name. It’s a noisy, busy life, but it’s what we know. We close up when the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There’s no big secret to how we work; we just show up, open the doors, and serve whoever comes in needing supplies for their house or their own small shop. We keep a simple ledger for our books.
