Vipul Sweets & Namkeen

Our shop, Vipul Sweets & Namkeen, is located in the Hathipole area. If you know Udaipur, you know Hathipole is one of the oldest and busiest markets. We are surrounded by shops selling clothes, shoes, and everything else. We have been here for a long time, watching the market change over the years. We mostly sell traditional sweets and different kinds of salty snacks. The shop is always a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the walk-in customers. Every morning we start by making fresh batches of whatever is running low. The smell of frying usually fills the air around our entrance. We get a lot of people who are tired from shopping and just want a quick snack or something sweet to take home. We do not really have a fancy interior; it is just plain walls and glass counters. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, so there is a lot of chatting back and forth during the slower parts of the day. The traffic in Hathipole can be a nightmare sometimes, with bikes and rickshaws squeezing past, but we are right in the middle of it. We just focus on our work and try to make sure the boxes are packed properly before they go out. It is a simple life in a busy place.
