Vaibhav Marble

We have been here at Sukher on NH-8 for quite some time now. Our yard is right near the Lodha petrol pump, so it is easy to find if you are driving by. Most days we are just busy moving slabs around or talking to people who stop in looking for something for their house floors. It gets pretty dusty out here with all the stone work and the trucks passing on the highway, but that is just how it goes in this business. We keep a lot of different marble here, mostly what people usually ask for in this part of Udaipur. It is a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes the weather makes it tough when it gets really hot outside. My brother and I usually handle the orders ourselves. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a small desk where we keep the papers and a place for people to sit if they need a minute. Sometimes the stock changes fast depending on what we get from the quarries nearby. We try to keep things organized but with so much stone coming in and out, the yard always looks a bit crowded. It is honest work and we have been doing it long enough to know which pieces are good and which ones have cracks you might not see at first. People just come by, look at the blocks, and we tell them what we have available that day.
