Umiya Marbles & Granites

You’ll find Umiya Marbles & Granites over at Plot No. 354 in the Kalarwa Riico Industrial Area. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of noise and movement around us, which suits the kind of work we do. We deal with big slabs of marble and granite every day. It’s heavy, dusty work, and our hands are usually covered in stone grit. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the yard is usually packed with inventory. We don't have a polished showroom with air conditioning; we just have the stone out where people can see it. Most of our day is spent operating the machinery or helping load up trucks for deliveries. We aren't big on fancy titles or corporate talk. We’re just local people who know a thing or two about stone. If you come by Kalarwa, you’ll see our cranes and the stacks of slabs. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, we work the stone, and we try to make sure everything is cut to the right size. It can be exhausting, especially when it’s hot, but it’s what we do. We like the industrial side of things because it’s where the real work happens. There are no frills here, just the materials and the tools we use to get them ready. It’s a lot of physical labor, but seeing the stone ready for a new home is good.
