Toran Marbles

Toran Marbles is right on the Sukher Main Road. Because we are on the main road, we see everything that goes by. All the trucks, the cars, and the people heading into the city. It’s a very visible spot. We keep various marble slabs right out front so people can see them without even getting out of their cars. The road is always busy, so there is a constant hum of traffic. We spend our days mostly in the yard. It’s a simple setup. We have the stone, some space to move it, and a small place to sit. The white dust from the marble gets everywhere, on the sign, on the floor, and on our shoes. We don't really mind. It's just part of the job. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just sell stone. When someone stops, we walk out and talk to them. We show them the different blocks and explain where they came from. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when we have to load a truck. We use cranes and our own strength. The sun can be brutal on the main road since there isn't much shade, but the stone stays cool to the touch. We've been here at this Sukher Main Road location for quite some time, just helping people find the stone they need for their houses. We also have a few smaller pieces kept in the back corners.
