The Udaipur Career Point

We set up shop here at Kankroli 40 because there were so many kids around Udaipur looking for a place to sit down and actually study. It’s a simple setup with some benches and a few whiteboards that have seen better days. You can usually find us here early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The neighborhood is mostly families, so we see the same faces every day walking past the door. We don't have a big front desk or anyone in a uniform greeting you. It’s just us helping students get through their books. Some days it’s quiet, and other days everyone is talking at once trying to solve a math problem. We’ve got stacks of papers all over the place and tea cups sitting on the corners of tables. It gets a bit cramped when a big group shows up, but we make it work with what we have. People just come in, find a spot, and get to it. We aren't some big corporate chain with shiny brochures. It’s just a room in Kankroli where people come to learn something. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows and keep going. That’s just life here. We’re just regular folks trying to help the local students move forward with whatever exams they’re worried about this month. It’s a lot of work but seeing them pass their tests makes the long hours in this room worth it.
