Orange Educational Consultants is over at 3-13-94/16G in the Madhuranagar area of Ramanthapur. It’s a bit of a specific address to find if you’re not from around here, but once you’re in Madhuranagar, it’s not too bad. We spend our time talking to students and parents about schools and colleges. There is a lot of confusion out there with all the different courses, so we just try to clear things up. Our office is a simple room with a few tables and chairs. We keep a lot of brochures and guides around, though most things are online now. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most of the people who come to see us were told about us by a friend or a cousin. Ramanthapur is a nice enough place to work from, and it’s usually pretty quiet during the day while the kids are at school. We drink a lot of coffee and go through lists of requirements for different universities. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s useful for the families in the neighborhood. We try to be honest about what the options are instead of just saying what people want to hear. It’s been a few years since we started here and we’ve gotten a good rhythm down. We just take each student’s situation as it comes. Usually, we sit down with a cup of tea and go through the forms together until everything makes sense.
