TEMPSENS Instruments (India) Pvt.Ltd. is out at B-188A, Road No.5 in the M.I.A. Udaipur. While Udaipur is known for its lakes and palaces, our corner of it is all about factories and workshops. We spend our days inside this building, focusing on instruments that measure temperature. It’s a bit of a slow process because you have to be careful with the small parts. The office isn't anything like what you see on TV. It’s just a few rooms with a lot of tools, some old filing cabinets, and some fans to keep the air moving. We’ve got a small group of workers who have been here for a long time, so we’re all pretty familiar with each other’s habits. Road No.5 is usually full of activity, with people moving back and forth between the different units. We don't have anyone here to write big speeches or marketing plans. Most of our day is spent at the benches, looking through magnifiers or testing out the gauges. It gets dusty in the industrial area, so we’re always wiping down the equipment to keep it clean. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re just a local business doing our thing in Udaipur, trying to get the sensors right and keeping the work moving along every day without too much fuss or extra noise from the bosses.
