You can find Talesara Marble & Tiles Pvt. Ltd. right along National Highway No:-8 near Chirwa Ghati. It’s a rugged kind of place out here in Maberi, and the highway is always full of heavy trucks carrying all sorts of goods. We deal with marble and tiles, which means things are heavy and often quite dusty. Our yard is filled with big slabs of stone leaned up against metal frames. When the sun hits them, you can see all the different patterns in the rock. It's not a quiet office job. We spend most of our time outside or in the open warehouse area. The air smells like stone dust and diesel from the trucks. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. People usually stop by because they saw our sign while driving through the Ghati. We show them what we have in stock, move some pieces around with the crane if they want to see a specific slab, and talk about the prices. It’s straightforward work. The weather can be tough, especially when the wind picks up off the highway, but we’re used to it. We’ve been at this location for years and have seen the road change quite a bit. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and loading, but it’s what we do. We just keep the stones moving and try to stay on top of the orders coming in.
