Swastik Marbles

We are situated out on N. H. 8 in Sukher. If you know the area, you know it is basically the heart of the marble trade around here. The highway is always buzzing with activity, mostly trucks carrying massive blocks of stone from the quarries. Our yard is right in the middle of all that action. It is a wide-open space where we keep all the slabs lined up. Some days the wind blows the dust around so much you can barely see the other side of the lot. We don’t mind it much because it’s part of the trade. We spend our time showing people the different colors and textures of the marble we have in stock. Every piece of stone is a bit different, so it takes time to look through them all. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we have. It is just stone, and you can see it for yourself. The sun hits the slabs and shows the natural veins in the rock. We have a small office where we sit down and do the paperwork, but mostly we are outside. It is physical work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. We like being in Sukher because everyone understands the business here. We just provide a place where you can see the stone and get it loaded onto a vehicle. It’s a simple life on the highway.
