You can find us at 57 Bedla Link Road in Sukher. Gayatri Marble is actually a unit of Ganga Marble, so we have deep roots in how things are done around here. Sukher is full of stone yards, but we like our spot on the link road. It’s where all the action is. We spend the day moving marble blocks and checking the slabs for any cracks or odd marks. Marble is different from granite; it feels a bit more delicate when you’re cutting it, even though it’s still heavy as anything. We have some older machines that still run great, and we keep them humming through the afternoon. The office is just a small room where we keep the records, but most of the time we are out on the floor. People drop by 57 Bedla Link Road all the time just to see what’s new in the yard. We show them what we’ve cut recently. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, and we have to hose down the area to keep things clean enough to work. We aren't big on fancy talk. We just tell people what we have and let the stone speak for itself. It’s a busy life here in Sukher. We start early when the air is still cool and stay until the last truck leaves the gate. It’s just us, the marble, and the daily grind on the link road.
