Shri Nakoda General Store

Shri Nakoda General Store is out at Bhuwana GC 11. It’s a part of town that’s still getting its feet under it. The building is a simple concrete structure. We have the store on the front side. We keep things like soap, oil, flour, and some basic snacks. There are stacks of crates for cold drinks near the door. The shelves are just plain metal and they’re full of all sorts of containers. We don't have a fancy layout. We just put things where they fit. The ceiling is high, which helps keep it cool when the sun is out. We have a small desk where we sit and wait. Bhuwana is a bit quieter than the main city center. We get a lot of people from the nearby apartments. They come in for the small things they forgot at the bigger market. We have a small notebook where we keep track of things. The light in here is a bit yellow. We have a big clock on the wall that ticks loudly. Sometimes it’s the only sound we hear for a while. We don't have any help, it’s just us. We open up early and stay until the streetlights come on. It’s a simple routine. We know when the milk truck is coming by the sound of its engine. It’s a steady way to live. We just keep the shelves stocked and the floor swept.
