Our business is right on N.H.8 in the village of Rishabhdeo. Being on the national highway means there is a constant stream of cars and trucks passing by Shri Keshariya Ji Marble & Granites Pvt. Ltd. at all hours. It stays quite noisy, but the location is good for getting the stone moved out to different cities. We have a large open area where we keep the marble blocks and the granite slabs. The sun beats down on the yard most of the day, so we try to do the heavy lifting in the cooler morning hours. Rishabhdeo is a place where a lot of people know about stone, so we are in good company. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning; we mostly just work out of a small cabin near the front. You can see the dust on everything, from the leaves on the trees to the windows of the trucks. We deal with the local transporters every day, haggling over prices and timing. It’s a practical life. We drink a lot of water and keep the machines greased. Sometimes we have visitors who stop by because they saw the slabs from the road. We show them what we have and let the stone speak for itself. It’s not a complicated business, just a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of the square footage. We’ve been part of this highway community for quite some time now and wouldn't have it any other way.
