Shree Shanti Marbles

Shree Shanti Marbles is situated on NH-8 in Sukher, right across from the Vandana Weigh Bridge. Having the weigh bridge right there is actually pretty handy for our trucks. We spend a lot of our time watching the traffic go by on the highway while we work in the yard. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving these heavy slabs around and making sure they don't chip. We carry mostly local marble, stuff that comes from the nearby hills. We don't really have a big sales pitch. Usually, people just come in because they saw the sign or they were getting their truck weighed across the road. We sit out in the shade when we can, but mostly we are on our feet. The dust covers everything by the end of the day, including us. It’s just how it is when you work with stone. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Sukher, just a place where you can find us and see the materials. Sometimes the stock changes fast, and other times we sit on the same slabs for weeks. We just take it as it comes. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll likely see the same faces every time you visit. We don't use much technology, just our eyes and a tape measure usually.
