Shree Sahu Patasi Bhandar

Being located at Dhanmandi 112 keeps us pretty busy because the market is always moving. Shree Sahu Patasi Bhandar is a small place, really. We spend a lot of time preparing the water and the potatoes every single morning. It’s a lot of chopping and mixing before we even open the doors for the day. Patasi is something people eat quickly on their way somewhere else, so things move fast around here. The stools we have outside get used a lot. Sometimes we run out of space when the afternoon crowd hits. The heat in the kitchen area can get a bit much, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with food. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the plates are clean and the food is ready. Dhanmandi is a loud place with lots of trucks and carts going by, so there’s always something to look at while you work. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now and people know where to find us. We don't do anything complicated, just the usual stuff people expect from a snack shop. Sometimes we run out of things early if it's a holiday. We try to keep up with the demand but it’s just a small family-run operation. It’s hard work standing all day, but seeing the same faces every day makes it feel alright for us.
