Shree Mahalaxmi Marbles

If you are looking for us, we are right near Amar Jyoti Granite in Sukher. Being close to other stone yards means there is always a lot of activity on our road. We have been sitting in this spot for quite a while, watching the trucks go back and forth. Our yard is filled with different types of marble. Some days it is quiet and we just spend time cleaning the slabs so the natural patterns show up better. Other days, three trucks show up at once and it is a bit of a mess trying to get everyone loaded. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure the stone is handled right. You get a lot of white dust on everything here, even your tea if you aren't careful. We know the other business owners nearby and we often help each other out with equipment if something breaks down. Working with marble is heavy work. Your back feels it at the end of the day. But there is something nice about seeing a big block get cut down into smooth pieces. We just stay here, keep our heads down, and do the work. Most people find us by word of mouth or because they were visiting the granite place next door. We don't mind. We are just here to do our job and go home to our families.
