Shree Kesriyaji Misthan Bhandar

Shree Kesriyaji Misthan Bhandar is found at Hathipole Hervenji Ka Khurra. This part of town has a lot of history and the lanes are quite narrow and winding. You have to know where you are going to find us. We are a small local shop, mostly serving the families that have lived in these old houses for generations. The atmosphere here is different from the main roads. It’s a bit more personal. We know most of our customers by name. We spend our mornings preparing the fresh milk sweets. The steam from the boiling milk makes the shop feel a bit damp, but it smells wonderful, like cardamom and saffron. We don't have a big display, just a few glass cases with the daily specials. Sometimes we don't have everything on the menu because we only make small batches. If it’s gone, it’s gone. The building itself is quite old with thick stone walls that help a bit with the heat. We don't bother with fancy packaging, just simple paper wraps or plastic containers. It’s about the food, not the looks. We are just happy to be part of this little community in Hathipole. It’s a quiet existence, tucked away in the khurra, but it’s our life and we’ve been doing it a long time. We just keep the mawa fresh and the tea hot for anyone who stops by.
