It’s a loud place, mainly because the stone crusher is always running and making a racket. There is a lot of dust in the air, so much that it settles on everything in the office within an hour. Being near the temple means we see a lot of people passing by, but we’re usually too busy with the rocks to notice much. The machinery is old and sometimes it breaks down, which means someone has to get in there with a wrench and get greasy. It’s not the cleanest job in the world.
