Shree Ganesh Marbles

We’ve been here at Sukher on N.H. 8 for a while now. Most folks in the area know our spot at number 128. Dealing with marble is just what we do every day. It’s heavy work, dusty too, but someone has to get the stone ready for floors and counters. My father started things off, and now we just keep the yard going. People come by looking for slabs or tiles, and we show them what’s currently in the stacks. Sometimes the stock changes based on what comes in from the quarries nearby. It isn't a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a yard with a lot of stone. We spend most of our time moving pieces around or talking to contractors who need a specific look for a house they're building. If you drive down the highway, you’ll see us. There’s no big sign with flashing lights, just the marbles lined up. We try to be fair about things. Sometimes a piece has a crack, and we tell you. That’s just how natural stone is. You can’t really control what the earth gives you. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go over the years. Some want cheap stuff, others want something that looks a bit nicer. We just handle the day-to-day of it. It’s a lot of lifting and loading trucks, really. Shree Ganesh Marbles is just a local business trying to keep things steady.
