Shekhar Marbles

We've been running Shekhar Marbles for quite a while now. Most people around here know Sardarpura well, and we are right by Kothari House, not far from Karjali House. It’s a busy spot but we like it. The shop is mostly full of different marble slabs we’ve collected. My father started things off and I just kept it going because it’s what I know. We spend most of our days talking to people who come in looking for stuff for their new floors or maybe a small renovation. Sometimes the yard gets a bit dusty but that is just how it is when you work with stone. We don't really do fancy ads or anything. People just find us or hear about us from a neighbor. Dealing with marble is heavy work and there are days when it’s tiring, especially when the trucks arrive late. But it is good to see a piece of stone finally get picked out. We keep things pretty simple here. If you are walking around the neighborhood near Karjali House you will probably see our sign. It's nothing fancy, just a place where we keep the stock and wait for customers. We have seen the area change a lot over the years but the stone business stays much the same. You just have to have a good eye for the patterns. Anyway, that’s us. Just a local place in Sardarpura doing what we do every day.
